Textile technology

In a rapidly evolving sector, characterized by innovation, sustainability, and industrial transformation, textile technology is an essential foundation for designers. Teaching it to fashion design students allows them not only to master the behavior and potential of materials, but also to engage in dialogue with stakeholders in the production chain, to design sustainably, and to innovate with awareness. Because, for me, materials shape the form, performance, and meaning of clothing, textile technology is now an indispensable pillar of contemporary design.

A fashion stylist and costume designer with a master's degree in creative direction in fashion design, I currently teach and head the styling department at Esmod. In 2007, after completing a bachelor's degree at Esmod Paris specializing in stage costume, I taught while managing my own brand and working as a costume designer. Over the years, I have expanded my activities to include: - Textile crafts and art - Historical reproduction - Eco-responsible design - Technical clothing - Digital design I share my knowledge through teaching, as well as consulting and coaching assignments, conferences, workshops, sharing sessions, and interviews.

There are several ways to approach upcycling in textiles, and each has its own charm, almost as if each technique offered a new avenue for reinventing what already exists.
